There was a large turnout for the Final Race of this Fit4Life Series, a 3k Cross Country in Cleveragh Race Course. As the rain grew increasingly heavier the contenders for the top spots battled it out over the short but taxing course. Juvenile prizes were awarded immediately after the race at the race venue whilst the Seniors met later in the Stables Bar, Wine Street at 8.30pm.
Sligo AC head coach Terry Hayes hailed the winter series an outstanding success with many of the participants committing themselves to regular training and thus improving steadily over each round of the competition. If this level of commitment continues a lot of these athletes will see vast improvements during their participation in the next Fit4Life Series.
